HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC - REFERENCE: WO100
Location: Wabasca, Alberta
Pay Rate: Competitive
Schedule: 21 days on, 7 days off
Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Shop Manager, the heavy-duty mechanic will be responsible for effectively performing maintenance and service of property, equipment and vehicles.

Requirements:
  • Daily maintenance of property, equipment, and vehicles throughout the facility
  • Inspects and evaluates operating conditions of equipment and vehicles
  • Performs maintenance activities and modifies existing equipment and systems to keep the facility in good running order
  • Ensures that all maintenance is completed in accordance with established company policies and safety regulations
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
  • Attends training sessions to update technical knowledge as needed
  • Completes special projects as assigned
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot: Fuel Systems, Electrical Systems, and Hydraulic Systems
  • Ability to perform complete repair and overhaul functions
Qualifications:
  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification
  • CVI License preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Work shift work is required
  • Minimum 2+ years post-certification experience

WINCH TRUCK DRIVER - REFERENCE: WO101
Location: Wabasca, Alberta
Pay Rate: Competitive
Schedule: 21 days on, 7 days off
Responsibilities:

Reporting to Dispatch, the winch truck driver will be responsible for effectively operating a winch tractor

Requirements:
  • Operate tractor trailer and/or wheel combinations
  • Transport permitted loads
  • Coordinate with the Dispatcher on delivery, breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions, etc.
  • Operate safely and on time
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, self-driven
  • Demonstrate the ability to write and speak functional English
  • Have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems. As well as knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, load securement, inspections and maintenance
  • Demonstrate the ability to position blocks and tie downs to secure cargo
  • Demonstrate the ability to clean, inspect and service vehicle
  • Demonstrate the ability to operate heavy equipment
Qualifications:
  • Class 1 driver's licence with air brake endorsement
  • Minimum 3+ year winch experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Work shift work is required
  • Oilfield hauling experience
  • Pass pre-employment medical
  • Experience with a bed truck is a plus
